‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Still No. 1 on Redbox Charts

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s Wonder Woman 1984 remained No. 1 on the Redbox disc rental chart and the Redbox On Demand chart the week ended April 11.

In fact, the charts featured many of the same top titles as the previous week. Universal Pictures’ News of the World remained No. 2 on both charts, while Universal’s The Croods: A New Age remained the No. 3 disc rental and slipped a spot to No. 4 on the On Demand chart.

The new No. 3 on the Redbox On Demand chart, which tracks digital rental transactions, was Lionsgate’s Barb & Star Go to Vista Del Mar, which arrived on disc April 6. The comedy stars Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo as aloof middle-age friends who stumble upon a zany supervillain’s plot to take revenge on a Florida resort town. It was No. 5 on the disc rental chart, which tracks DVD and Blu-ray Disc rentals at Redbox’s more than 40,000 red kiosks.

The No. 4 disc rental was Screen Media’s Skyfire, about a scientist who invents a volcano early warning system and returns to home to a tropical island, where a new volcano theme park is threatened by an eruption.
