Paramount Home Entertainment’s Top Gun: Maverick finished its fourth consecutive week atop the U.K. home entertainment sales chart through Sept. 21 based on digital retail sales.
The week’s highest new entry, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment’s Jurassic World Dominion, ranked No. 2 also based on digital downloads only. It’s the third and final installment of the “Jurassic World” movie trilogy and the sixth “Jurassic” film, once again starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum among its ensemble cast.
Set four years after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom — itself the first ever No. 1 on the Official Film Chart. Dominion concludes the storyline from the original Jurassic Park series; while dinosaurs now live alongside humans across the world, the characters set off on separate adventures to uncover and expose dangerous conspiracies.
Universal’s Downton Abbey: A New Era dropped one spot to No. 3, while Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s The Batman rebounded two spots to No. 4, and fellow former chart-topper Warner’s Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore moved to No. 5.
More former No. 1’s followed, with Universal’s musical family favorite Sing 2 (no. 6), Paramount’s original Top Gun (No. 7) and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (No. 8) all holding on to a place in the top 10.
Warner’s The Lord of the Rings Trilogy collection moved up one spot to No. 9, and finally, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s Spider-Man: No Way Home rebounded four spots at No. 10.
