‘Top Gun: Maverick’ Returns Atop U.K. Home Entertainment Sales Chart for Sixth Time

Paramount Home Entertainment’s Top Gun: Maverick continued its presence at the top of consumer home entertainment spending in the United Kingdom. The Tom Cruise sequel generated its sixth non-consecutive week on top of the Official Film Chart for the week ended Nov. 16. The Top Gun 2-Movie Collection finished No. 2 for a second week.
British sequel Fisherman’s Friends 2: One and All was No. 3 following its release on disc. The sequel to 2019’s Fisherman’s Friends continues the story of a sea shanty group who became an unlikely musical success after being signed by a major label. The film’s soundtrack, which was released in August, reached No. 39 on the Official Albums Chart.
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s Elf made a return to the Official Film Chart at No. 4. This is the Will Ferrell-starring film’s 31st week on the chart. The 2003 movie spent three weeks at No. 1 in December 2020.
At No. 5 was Universal Pictures Home Entertainment’s Jurassic World Dominion, closely followed by Warner’s Elvis at No. 6, and Universal’s animated prequel Minions: The Rise of Gru at No. 7.

Warner’s The Batman continues his watch over the top 10 at No. 8, while the former chart-topper, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s Bullet Train, put the brakes on, dropping two spots at No. 9. Universal’s Sing 2 rounded out the top 10.
