‘The Unforgivable’ Sandra Bullock Again Rules Netflix Weekly Streaming

Actress Sandra Bullock and Netflix make good chemistry. Bullock’s post-incarceration drama, The Unforgivable, dominated Netflix’s global streaming for a second week with 74.4 million hours viewed through Dec. 19. The movie easily topped Back to the Outback and A California Christmas: City Lights with 38.9 million hours and 22.8 million hours, respectively.

The Unforgivable ranked in the Top 10 in 94 countries, while Back to the Outback ranked in 92 countries and California Christmas rated in 73 countries. Longtime chart polesitter Red Notice remains ranked in the Top 10 in 76 countries.

Indeed, the actioner starring Gal Gadot, Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne Johnson, remains Netflix’s all-time top-performing movie after 28 days with 364 million hours — besting the previous chart topper, Bullock’s 2018 post-apocalyptic horror film, Bird Box, with 282 million hours after 28 days.

Rounding out Netflix’s Top 10 streamed movies after 28 days of release was Extraction with 231.3 million hours viewed; The Irishman with 214.5 million; The Kissing Booth 2 (209.2 million); Six Underground (205.4 million); Spencer Confidential (197.3 million); Enola Holmes (189.9 million); Army of the Dead (186.5 million); and The Old Guard (185.7 million).

Other top-streaming movies in Netflix territories include catalog releases Spider-Man: Homecoming (9.3 million hours) in 49 countries; John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (8.7 million hours) in 20 countries; The Christmas Chronicles (8.4 million) in 14 countries; The Christmas Chronicles 2 (7.8 million); and A Boy Called Christmas with 7.2 million hours in 22 countries.

Among TV shows, season two of “The Witcher” dominates streaming with 142.4 million hours streamed for the Dec. 13-19 period. The tally is almost three times the 49 million hours streamed for season one.
