

‘The Mule’ Pulls to No. 1 on FandangoNow Chart

Warner’s The Mule trotted to the No. 1 on FandangoNow’s chart of top movies for digital rental and purchase for the week ended April 14.
FandangoNow is movie site Fandango’s transactional VOD service.
The Clint Eastwood drama, which earned $103.8 million in theaters, is about a broke man in his 80s who unwittingly signs on as a drug courier.
Warner also took the second spot on the FandangoNow chart with the DC Comics superhero feature Aquaman, which earned $335 million at the box office, while Paramount’s “Transformers” reboot Bumblebee, which made $127.2 million theatrically, landed at No. 3.

Two newer releases, Universal’s Glass and Sony’s Holmes & Watson came in at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively. Glass, directed by M. Night Shyamalan, made $111 million theatrically, while the comedy Holmes & Watson, starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly, earned $30.6 million.
