Horror Films ‘Death Rink’ and ‘Future Fear’ Available on DVD From MVD and Wild Eye

The horror films Death Rink and Future Fear are available on DVD from MVD Entertainment Group and Wild Eye Releasing.

In Death Rink, from 2019, the night staff of roller rink are stalked and murdered by a mysterious figure who they believe may be the spirit of a teenager who was accidentally killed there years ago. Directed by Daniel Zubiate (“Longmire,” “Dallas,” From Dusk Til Dawn), the film stars Alan Humphrey (Sicario, The Ridiculous 6, “Better Call Saul”) and Meg Smith (Daybreak, Silk Road).

In Future Fear, in a distant future, an archeologist is hunted by alien attackers and takes refuge in the ruins of a long extinct civilization. She must employ ancient technology in hopes of finding a way to fight back against her hunters and escape the planet. The 2021 film was directed and produced by Ken May and stars Amber Plaster (“American Horror Story: 1984,” “Silicone Valley”), Jefferson Ellis (“Turn: Washington’s Spies”) and Eric Reingrover (“SEAL Team,” Phobias, Axegrinder).

The horror films Berserkers and Pipeline are available on DVD from Wild Eye Releasing and MVD Entertainment Group.

In Berserkers (2014), four friends must fight for their lives when everyone in their hometown is turned into bloodthirsty maniacs, only to find themselves escaping to a post-apocalyptic wasteland as a virus slowly engulfs the world. Directed by Jacob Mulliken (“Breaking Bad,” Dark of Winter, Sex and Lies in Sin City), the film stars Dave Petti (Bob Roberts, Jack Reacher, Night Zero), Rebecca Gruss (“The Knick,” “The Deuce,” Chained for Life) and James Quinn (The Dark Knight Rises, White Boy Rick). Extras include the original short film, the original promo video and trailers. The film was an official selection at Zombiefest.

In Pipeline (2020), After moving into a new home, a family discovers the house is occupied by a bloodthirsty monster that lives in the walls and pipes, dragging in all who get too close. Now trapped inside, the family must do whatever they can to survive as the murderous beast lures in new victims. Directed by Emily Aguilar (Clara’s Ultimate Christmas), the film stars Marc Goodman (“House of Cards,” “Gotham,” “Veep”), Madeleine Murphy (“Copycat Killers,” Halloween at Aunt Ethel’s), Ashna Sharan (L.A. Undercover, A Stone Cold Christmas) and Jason Alan Cook (Point Man, Bigfoot: Path of the Beast).

Thriller ‘Suicide Club’ Due on DVD Jan. 19 From MVD

The thriller Suicide Club will be available on DVD Jan. 19 from MVD Entertainment Group and Wild Eye Releasing

In the film, a reclusive young woman discovers an online web community that promises to kill anyone who asks, but soon learns that if she does follow through, everyone around her is in danger.

Produced in 2017 by the team behind 12 Deaths of Christmas, Bad Nun and Mandy the Doll, the film stars Kate Lister (Unhinged, Mandy the Doll, Curse of the Scarecrow), Klariza Clayton (Dani’s House, “Skins”  and Andrew Hollingworth (House on Elm Lake, The Haunted Hotel).

‘An Evil Tale,’ ‘Vampire War’ Available on DVD From Wild Eye and MVD

Two scary films, An Evil Tale and Vampire War, are available on DVD from Wild Eye Releasing and MVD Entertainment Group.

In An Evil Tale, based on the Scottish urban legend, a family discovers they are the victim of a centuries old curse when a rare relic is discovered near their home. They must join forces with a paranormal investigator to battle this evil force that has possessed everything around them. The film stars Dina Najjar (A Brilliant Monster), Kelly Riese (Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!), Karen Scheafer (The House on Misty Lane) and Kurt Mullins (Dawn of the Dead). Extras include the “Behind the Scenes: Parrish Grove Inn” featurette and cast interviews.

In Vampire War, after a series of mysterious killings in the German countryside, it is discovered that vampires with origins in the Middle Ages are to blame for the attacks. The condemned vampire clan leader, Montrak was discovered and hunted by humans, but even as his reign came to a close, his subjects created a new vampire master to replace him, one blessed by Lucifer himself, to rule over the present day. Directed by Stefan Schwenk (Legend of Hell, Sick Pigs), the film stars Udo Schenk (Operation Valkyrie, 13 Minutes, Little Murders, The Old Fox), Charles Rettinghaus (Sky Sharks, Planet USA) and Sönke Möhring (Ingloriuous Basterds, Invisible Heroes, Berlin Station). The horror films Girls Just Wanna Have Blood and Weird Fiction are available on DVD in May from Wild Eye Releasing and MVD Entertainment Group.

Due May 26 is Girls Just Wanna Have Blood (2019). When social outcast Jessica is accepted into a trio of teenage vampires, she finds herself thrust into a nocturnal world of murder, drugs and all-night parties as they stalk the patrons of local bars and clubs. Meanwhile, a mysterious, foreign vampire hunter searches the underworld in hopes of putting a stake right through their plan to party forever. Directed by Anthony Cantanese (Hi-Death, Coal, Zombie Rocks), the film stars stars Gigi Gustin (Hijab, Slice, Game Over, Little Darling), Bettina Skye (Super Dark Times, “Ugly Betty,” The Adjustment Bureau, “The Eric Andre Show”) and David M. Available now is Weird Fiction (2018), featuring retro-inspired horror for a modern audience. The “Collector’s Midnight Halloween Special” airs once a year, with four tales of terror. Horror Sequel ‘Zombie Rampage 2’ Due on DVD Feb. 25 From MVD

The horror sequel Zombie Rampage 2 is stalking to DVD Feb. 25 from MVD Entertainment Group and Wild Eye Raw.

This is the long-awaited followup to Todd Sheets’ 1989 shot-on-video, direct-to-video splatterfest Zombie Rampage. Using newly unearthed footage from his aborted sequel to the VHS hit, Sheets has overseen the completion of the gore-soaked second installment in his zombie filmography that was thought lost forever.

In the film, two warring factions live side by side during the Zombie Rampage apocalypse.

The film stars Dilynn Fawn Harvey (Clownado, Bonehill Road, Hi-Death).

‘Lifeform,’ ‘Virus of the Dead’ Coming to DVD Dec. 17 From MVD

Two titles from Wild Eye Releasing, Lifeform and Virus of the Dead, are coming to DVD Dec. 17 from MVD Entertainment Group.

In Lifeform, after his wife suffers a brain trauma, a man uses experimental stem cells to bring her back to life — with deadly results as she is transformed into a shape-shifting creature. From cult movie director Max Dementor (Demon Nun, The Shriven), the film stars Chad Ackerman (Daredevil, The Sinner), Joe Amato (“30 Rock”, “Ugly Betty”) and Tatyana Kot.

In Virus of the Dead, a global viral outbreak threatens the human race, turning many into walking dead maniacs. All is all caught on camera in this multi-tale experiment featuring more than 15 segments directed by both rising stars and veterans of the horror community. The series features a segment directed by Return of the Living Dead 3 scripter John Penney, as well as horror favorites James Cullen Bressack (Bethany, If Looks Could Kill), Shane Ryan (Samurai Cop 2, Jurassic City), Timo Rose (Game Over, Barricade) and Jarrett Furst (Verotika, The Last Sharknado). The series is created by producer Tony Newton (VHS Lives, Grindsploitation, 60 Seconds to Die, Halloween Hell Night).
