Action Film ‘The Ambush’ Due on DVD and Blu-ray Dec. 13 From Well Go

From director Pierre Morel (Taken) comes the foreign action film The Ambush, available in a new English dub Dec. 13 on DVD and Blu-ray Disc from Well Go USA Entertainment.

In the film based on a true story, three UAE soldiers on the final patrol of their deployment are ambushed by heavily armed militants, leaving them wounded, isolated and nearly out of ammunition. They are trapped in a remote canyon with only one chance for survival: a daring, midnight-hour rescue mission plotted by their courageous commander.

The Ambush stars Marwan Abdulla Saleh, Khalifa Al Jassem, Mohammed Ahmed, Abdulla Saeed Bin Haider, Saeed Alharsh, Hassan Yousuf Alblooshi, Khalifa Albahri, Ghanim Nasser and Mansoor Alfeeli.

The Ukrainian war movie Sniper: The White Raven debuts on DVD and Blu-ray Sept. 13 from Well Go USA Entertainment.

It is available now on digital.

In the film based on a true story, after suffering a senseless tragedy at the hand of invading soldiers in the Donbas region in 2014, a former Ukrainian physics teacher renounces his peaceful way of life and seeks revenge. Upon joining the military and earning a coveted spot as a sniper, he sets his sights on an elite Russian sniper whose elimination could change the tide of the conflict.

The film is fully restored from the original 1979 film and enhanced with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision, as well as Meyer Sound’s Sensual Sound.

Starring Martin Sheen, Marlon Brando and Dennis Hopper, the war epic, in­spired by Joseph Conrad’s story Heart of Darkness, follows Army Capt. ‘Guns of Navarone’ Shooting to 4K Ultra HD Nov. 2 for 60th Anniversary

The 1961 Oscar-lauded war film The Guns of Navarone will come out on 4K Ultra HD Nov. 2 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment for its 60th anniversary.

In the film, Gregory Peck, David Niven and Anthony Quinn star as a team of Allied military specialists recruited for a dangerous but imperative mission: to infiltrate a Nazi-occupied fortress and disable two long-range field guns so that 2,000 trapped British soldiers may be rescued. Faced with an unforgiving sea voyage, hazardous terrain and the possibility of a traitor among them, the team must overcome the impossible without losing their own lives.

Adapted by screenwriter Carl Foreman from Alistair MacLean’s best-selling novel, The Guns of Navarone was nominated for seven Oscars, including Best Picture, and won for Best Special Effects (1961).
