Whip Media: ‘True Lies’ Top New Show, ‘Shadow and Bone’ Top Returning Show, ‘John Wick 4’ Top Movie Anticipated in March

CBS’s “True Lies” was the top anticipated new show, Netflix’s “Shadow and Bone” was the most anticipated returning show, and Lionsgate’s John Wick: Chapter 4 was the top anticipated movie on the Whip Media charts for March.

“True Lies,” which debuts March 1, is based on the 1994 James Cameron action-comedy starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as a secret agent with an unsuspecting wife (Jamie Lee Curtis) who gets caught up in his latest mission. The series has the couple (played by Steve Howey and Ginger Gonzaga) working together on assignments.

“Shadow and Bone” returns for its second season March 16. The fantasy series is based on the books about an orphan girl with special powers.

John Wick: Chapter 4, the next installment in the action series starring Keanu Reeves as a legendary hitman, debuts in theaters March 22.

Top anticipated movies available to stream in March include Murder Mystery 2, a mystery sequel starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, streaming on Netflix starting March 31, and Tetris, about the genesis of the popular video game, streaming on Apple TV+ beginning March 31.

Whip Media: ‘Wednesday’ Top New Show, ‘Dead to Me’ Top Returning Show Anticipated in November

Netflix’s “Wednesday” was the top anticipated new show, the service’s “Dead to Me” was the most anticipated returning show, and Disney’s latest Marvel flick Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was the top anticipated movie on the Whip Media charts for November.

“Wednesday,” which debuts Nov. 23, is a supernaturally infused mystery series from director and executive producer Tim Burton. Based on the character from the TV show “The Addams Family,” it charts Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy.

“Dead to Me” returns for its third and final season Nov. 17. In this season of the dark comedy, Jen and Judy receive shocking news and are ready to risk their lives for a friendship that’s above the law.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is the second film in the “Black Panther” franchise. In the sequel, which debuts in theaters Nov. 9, Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M’Baku, Okoye and the Dora Milaje fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death.
