Netflix’s ‘Elite’ Tops TV Time Charts

Netflix’s “Elite” was the top binge show as well as the top rising show on the TV Time charts for the week ended June 20.

“Elite,” season four of which came out June 18, is a Spanish series about an elite prep school. In the latest season, with the arrival of a new principal and his kids — Ari, Mencia and Patrick — comes a new mystery after Ari is found close to death.

The French series “Lupin,” season two of which hit Netflix June 11, came in at No. 2 on the binge chart. It follows a gentleman thief whose quest for revenge has torn his family to pieces. It also took the No. 6 spot on the rising show chart.

Taking the No. 2 spot on the rising show chart was “Black Summer,” season two of which hit Netflix June 17. In the latest season, winter comes with cold-blooded new challenges during the zombie apocalypse as frantic scavengers and violent militias battle the dead and desperate.

Coming in at No. 3 on the binge chart was “Lucifer,” season five of which debuted on Netflix May 28. It follows the fallen angel’s exploits in modern day Los Angeles.

Netflix’s ‘Sweet Tooth’ Top Rising Show, ‘Lucifer’ Again Top Binge on TV Time Charts

Netflix’s “Sweet Tooth” was the top rising show and the service’s “Lucifer” was again the top binge show on the TV Time charts the week ended June 6.

The adventure fantasy “Sweet Tooth,” which hit screens June 4, chronicles the results of “The Great Crumble,” which wreaked havoc on the world and led to the mysterious emergence of hybrids — babies born part human, part animal. Unsure if hybrids are the cause or result of the virus, many humans fear and hunt them. After a decade of living safely in his secluded forest home, a sheltered hybrid deer-boy named Gus (Christian Convery) unexpectedly befriends a wandering loner named Jepperd (Nonso Anozie). Together they set out on an extraordinary adventure across what’s left of America in search of answers.

Coming in at No. 2 on the rising show chart was Netflix’s “Summertime.” The romantic drama, inspired by Federico Moccia’s book series, follows two young adults from different backgrounds who fall in love during a summer on Italy’s Adriatic Coast. Season two of the Italian series, which also came in at No. 8 on the binge chart, debuted June 3.

Netflix’s ‘Umbrella Academy’ Top Binge on TV Time Charts

Netflix’s “The Umbrella Academy” was the top binge, while the BBC’s “Get Even” was the top show on the rise on the TV Time charts for the week ended Aug. 2.

The second season of “The Umbrella Academy” hit screens July 31. The series, based on the comic books of the same name, follows a group of superheroes adopted at birth by a mysterious billionaire who face the end of the world. As season two begins, the time jump scatters the siblings in time in and around Dallas over a three-year period starting in 1960. Some, having been stuck in the past for years, have built lives and moved on, certain they’re the only ones who have survived. The series also came in at No. 2 on the rising show chart.

Top rising show “Get Even,” which streamed beginning in February on BBC’s iPlayer service, July 31 began streaming on Netflix. The British crime show follows four private school classmates who team up to expose schoolwide injustices.
