It’s All About ‘Bridgerton’ Atop Netflix Charts

The Netflix series “Bridgerton” continued its mastery among original programming, with its first two seasons generating more than a combined 306 million minutes of viewing time across 93 countries the week ended April 3. With 53 million minutes, season one is now the top Netflix episodic show, with 625.5 million hours in the first 28 days of viewing.

“Is It Cake?” rounded off the podium with 26.5 million minutes across 64 countries in its second week of release.

Among Netflix original movies, Ryan Reynolds’ The Adam Project took in another 17.7 million minutes across 91 countries in its fourth week of release. The movie now has more than 227.5 million minutes viewed since its release, good for No. 5 on the all-time list.

Other top-performing original movies included The Bubble with 12.5 million minutes in its first week of release, followed by Trust No One: The Hunt for the Crypto King with 12 million minutes streamed.

Netflix: ‘The Adam Project,’ ‘The Last Kingdom: Season 5’ Top Weekly Streaming

Ryan Reynolds continued his winning streak on the Netflix platform, with original movie The Adam Project again scoring as the streamer’s most-viewed movie through March 20. The movie, which features Reynolds’ character dealing with a child version of himself, topped 85.3 million hours in its second week streamed across 93 countries.

Season five of “The Last Kingdom” topped 48.9 million hours in its second week across 62 countries, among Netflix’s most-streamed English language episodic programs.

Other top performing English-language Netflix movies included Rescued by Ruby with 19.9 million hours streamed across 84 countries in its debut, and Gemini Man with 11.8 million hours across 20 countries.

Top TV shows included season one of “Pieces of Her,” with 40 million hours in the third week across 69 countries, and “Inventing Anna,” with 39 million hours in its sixth week across 81 countries. The series starring Julie Garner now ranks No. 4 all-time for Netflix programming with 511.9 million hours streamed in the first 28 days of availability.

The new Ryan Reynolds movie The Adam Project topped Netflix’s most-viewed original movie through March 13 with 92.4 million hours consumed across 93 countries.  The title bested last weekend’s chart topper The Weekend Away with 26.2 million hours in 93 countries, and Against the Ice with 12.7 million hours streamed across 78 countries.

Among episodic programming, season five of “The Last Kingdom” with 63.5 million hours consumed across 64 countries, and former No. 1 “Inventing Anna” with 51.8 million hours streamed across 85 countries., rounded out the podium. The latter is now No. 4 on Netflix’s all-time most-viewed English-language series with 511.9 million hours consumed in the first 28 days.

JustWatch: ‘The Adam Project,’ ‘Killing Eve’ Top Streamed Movie, TV Show Through March 13

Netflix’s The Adam Project was the most-streamed feature film for the week ended March 13, according to new data from JustWatch, which tracks more than 20 million users’ monthly streaming decisions across 54 countries.

The title topped Oscar-nominated Licorice Pizza, from director Paul Thomas Anderson, and Disney/Pixar Animation’s Turning Red.

The Adam Project is a science-fiction action film directed by Shawn Levy that stars Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner, Walker Scobell, Catherine Keener, and Zoe Saldaña. The plot follows a pilot who goes back in time and encounters his younger self.

Among TV shows, the last season of “Killing Eve” on AMC+ topped Netflix’s “Viking,” perennial chart topper “Yellowstone,” (streaming on Peacock) starring Kevin Costner, and “Outlander” on Starz.
