Shout! Kids and Sesame Workshop have set a Sept. 1 release date for Sesame Street Monster Hits: Rock & Rhyme With Elmo, available on DVD and for digital download.
Packed with over two hours of content, the release includes the full-length feature Elmo’s Music Magic as well as an exclusive Elmo poster.
On Monster Hits: Rock & Rhyme with Elmo, classic nursery rhymes are paired with favorite Sesame Street clips. For example, “Do You Know the Muffin Man” is paired with a scene in which Cookie Monster and Gonger whip up cranberry muffins on their “foodie truck.”
Currently in its 50th season, Sesame Street is the country’s longest-running children’s television program and has received more Emmy Awards than any other show in television history.
Shout! Kids is the children’s imprint of independent home entertainment distributor Shout! Factory.
Elmo’s Music Magic was originally released on DVD in 2011.
The animated Swift flies to Blu-ray and DVD April 7 from Shout! Kids.
Featuring the voice talent of Kate Winslet (Titanic) as Blanche, Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse, Finding Dory) as Yves, and Josh Keaton (Voltron: Legendary Defender) as Manou, the film follows Manou, a sweet bird who grows up believing he is a seagull like his parents. He strives to swim, fish and fly like them, but feels that he is not very gifted. To his great shock, Manou discovers that he was adopted, and is actually the offspring of the much-hated swifts. After a tragedy, Manou has to navigate the differences between swifts and seagulls, and ultimately try to find his own identity — and save his friends and family along the way.
Bonus features on the Blu-ray and DVD include an interview with Dafoe, a look at the making of the film and the theatrical trailer.
Multiplatform media company Shout! Factory has signed a deal with international sales agency Studio 100 Film to distribute the new animated feature Princess Emmy: The Movie in the United States and Canada.
The film tells the story of a princess with the ability to speak to horses who must undergo a test to keep her special gift. The cast includes Ruby Barnhill, Bella Ramsey, Franka Potente and John Hannah.
Shout! Factory has secured all North American distribution rights to the film, including digital, video-on-demand, home entertainment, theatrical and broadcast rights. The company will release the film through its Shout! Factory Kids imprint, according to Melissa Boag, SVP of kids and family entertainment at Shout! Factory.
“Together we successfully brought iconic character Maya the Bee to the North American territories and we are convinced that our little princess will win over her audiences as well,” said Thorsten Wegener, director of operations at Studio 100 Film.
