Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will release Deep Blue Sea 3 through digital retailers July 28, and on Blu-ray Disc and DVD Aug. 25.
The film is the latest installment of the franchise that began with the 1999 film Deep Blue Sea, in which researchers experimented with genetically engineering super-intelligent sharks that turned on their creators and destroyed the research platform. The story was repeated in the 2018 direct-to-video movie Deep Blue Sea 2.
Deep Blue Sea 3 stars Tania Raymonde as Emma Collins, a marine biologist who is committed to making the world a better place. She and her crew have set up a mid-ocean laboratory over a sunken island town in the ocean where they are observing the first known Great White mating area. Unfortunately, the enhanced Bull Sharks that escaped in Deep Blue Sea 2 are also there with their own evolutionary goal: cross-breeding with the bigger faster Great Whites.
The cast also includes Nathanial Buzolic, Emerson Brooks, Bren Foster and Reina Aoi.
Lionsgate will release 47 Meters Down: Uncaged through digital retailers Oct. 29, and on Blu-ray, DVD and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Nov. 12.
Directed by Johannes Roberts and written by Roberts and Ernest Riera, 47 Meters Down: Uncaged follows the diving adventure of four teenage girls exploring a submerged Mayan city. Once inside, their rush of excitement turns into a jolt of terror as they discover the sunken ruins are a hunting ground for deadly great white sharks. With their air supply steadily dwindling, the friends must navigate the underwater labyrinth of claustrophobic caves and eerie tunnels in search of a way out of their watery hell.
