Netflix: ‘Ozark: Season 4,’ ‘Senior Year’ Top Quiet Streaming Week

The final season of family crime drama “Ozark” and original movie Senior Year topped Netflix’s most-viewed English-language content for the week ended May 15.

The streamer said subscribers in 68 countries consumed 48.6 million hours of “Ozark.” Despite the show’s critical acclaim and popularity, including making Julia Garner a star, “Ozark” does rank among Netflix’s top 10 most-viewed English-language series ever.

Among movies, Senior Year, which stars Rebel Wilson as a 37-year-old woman who wakes up from a 20-year coma to return to high-school as a popular cheerleader, the comedy generated 55.9 million hours across 93 countries in its weekly debut.

The tally was enough to best Netflix’s newest true-crime documentary, Our Father, about a fertility clinic/doctor gone mad. The doc tabulated 23.8 million hours streamed across 55 countries in its debut.

Regardless, the top movie and TV show generated a combined 104.5 million hours, which was less than the 129 million combined hours from the previous-week period.
