Vizio Bows Photo-Sharing App Feature for Connected Televisions

Vizio has launched a new app that enables users to send personal photos and videos from their cellphone to a Vizio 4K HDR TV screen.

Dubbed Viziogram, the idea came about when the Irvine, Calif.-based CE manufacturer’s founder William Wang wanted to share photos and video content with his mom.

“I wanted her to be fully immersed in family moments, even from far away,” Wang said in a statement.

Anyone with the Vizio Mobile app and a Vizio account can send a Viziogram photo or video from their mobile device. Content can only be shared between friends who are connected and have accepted an invitation. The technology was recently named a CES 2023 Innovation Awards honoree in the software and mobile apps category.
