Kino Lorber Launches 2022 Disc Slate With Thriller ‘This Game’s Called Murder’

Kino Lorber is kicking off the new year with the Jan. 18 Blu-ray Disc-only release of the 2021 thriller This Game’s Called Murder, with a cast that includes Ron Perlman, Natasha Henstridge, Vanessa Marano and James Lastovic.

Directed by Adam Sherman, the film is a dark comedic tale of murder, greed and betrayal in the eccentric Wallendorf family. Mr. Wallendorf (Perlman) is a women’s footwear designer with a sadistic streak. His wife (Henstridge) is his equal in conniving and brutality, while their troubled daughter Jennifer (Marano) is a social media celebrity trying to figure out her love life and world domination at the same time. “The Wallendorfs are power-crazed sociopaths, and This Game’s Called Murder exposes their most outré transgressions with shocking savagery,” according to a press release.

Bonus features include interviews with Perlman, Henstridge, and Marano.

Action Thriller ‘Night of the Sicario’ Coming to DVD June 22

The action thriller Night of the Sicario will come out on DVD June 22 from Paramount Home Entertainment and Saban Films.

It is available now in select theaters, on digital and on demand.

In the film, while transporting the family of a key witness in a federal trial against the cartel, DEA agents are ambushed in a fatal shootout. Now the survivors, including the young daughter of the witness, must take refuge in a nearby home as the ruthless sicarios hunt them down. With danger at every corner and a violent hurricane wiping out any chance of outside help, they must play a deadly game of cat and mouse with the cartel to live through the night.

Supernatural Thriller ‘The Unhealer’ Due June 8 from Shout! Studios, Scream Factory

Shout! Studios and Scream Factory in collaboration with VMI Worldwide will release the supernatural thriller The Unhealer through digital retailers and on Blu-ray Disc and DVD, as well as VOD, on June 8.

Each collectible Blu-ray Disc and DVD of The Unhealer includes behind-the-scenes interviews, alternative/ extended scenes, a gag reel, and deleted scenes.

Directed by writer, producer, and filmmaker Martin Guigui (Beneath the Darkness, The Bronx Bull, Future World), the film stars Natasha Henstridge (Species, The Whole Nine Yards) and Lance Henriksen (Aliens, Near Dark).

Other cast members include TikTok superstar Elijah Nelson (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, S.W.A.T.), Kayla Carlson (Why Women Kill, Widow Detective), Adam Beach (Suicide Squad, Cowboys & Aliens), Chris Browning (Westworld, Bosch), and Branscombe Richmond (The Scorpion King, Hard To Kill).

The film is about a bullied teenager who gains the means to fight back when a botched faith healing bestows supernatural, shamanistic powers upon him. When his lifelong tormentors pull a prank that causes the death of someone he loves, the teen uses his newfound abilities for revenge and goes on a bloody rampage to settle the score.
