The thriller Plane lands on PVOD (premium digital rental, $19.99) and PEST (premium digital purchase, $24.99 ) Feb. 3 from Lionsgate.
Directed by Jean-François Richet (Assault on Precinct 13), the film stars Gerard Butler (Greenland, Angel Has Fallen, 300), Mike Colter (Fatale, TV’s “Luke Cage,” Men in Black 3), Yoson An (Mulan, Mortal Engines, TV’s “Creamerie”), Daniella Pineda (Jurassic World: Dominion, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, TV’s “Cowboy Bebop”), Paul Ben-Victor (The Irishman, Get Hard, TV’s “True Detective”) and Tony Goldwyn (The Mechanic, The Last Samurai, King Richard).

In the actioner, pilot Brodie Torrance (Butler) saves his passengers from a lightning strike by making a risky landing on a war-torn island — only to find that surviving the landing was just the beginning. When most of the passengers are taken hostage by dangerous rebels, the only person Torrance can count on for help is Louis Gaspare (Colter), an accused murderer who was being transported by the FBI. In order to rescue the passengers, Torrance will need Gaspare’s help, and will learn there’s more to Gaspare than meets the eye.
The film earned $29.8 million at the global box office.
