Season 4 of ‘MacGyver’ Reboot on DVD June 8

Lionsgate will release MacGyver: Season 4 on DVD June 8, containing 13 episodes from the CBS reboot of the classic action-adventure series.

Lucas Till stars as Angus “Mac” MacGyver, the resourceful government agents who fights crime with clever feats of engineering rather than lethal force. In the fourth season, ex-MI6 agent Russ Taylor (Henry Ian Cusick) recruits former Phoenix Foundation members Mac, Riley (Tristin Mays), Bozer (Justin Hires), Matty (Meredith Eaton) and Desi (Levy Tran) to hunt down a bioweapon that’s planned to be used by a mysterious organization for a devastating attack on a major U.S. city.

CBS Releasing Original ‘Charmed,’ ‘MacGyver’ on Blu-ray

CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Media Distribution are releasing the first seasons of the original versions of “Charmed” and MacGyver” on Blu-ray Disc.

Both MacGyver: The Complete First Season and Charmed: The Complete First Season arrive Oct. 30.

“MacGyver” debuted in 1985 and ran for seven seasons on ABC, starring Richard Dean Anderson in the title role, a resourceful troubleshooter who resolves cases through ingenuity and an ability to use ordinary objects in unconventional ways.

“Charmed” aired for eight seasons on The WB starting in 1998, and starred Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs and Alyssa Milano as supernatural sisters who use their witchly powers to fight evil.

Both shows have subsequently been remade, with a the new “MacGyver” airing on CBS starting in 2016 and a new version of “Charmed” debuting on The CW in October.
