BritBox, the U.S subscription streaming video service launching British-themed content service in the United Kingdom this year, has named Vancouver-based LoginRadius to supply user login security.
Launched in 2017, BritBox ($6.99) is a partnership between the BBC and ITV — the United Kingdom’s largest public and private broadcasters — targeting Netflix and AMC Network’s Acorn TV audience in the U.S. It ended the most-recent fiscal period with 650,000 subscribers in North America.
Cloud-based customer identity provider Login Radius will be working alongside Akamai (content distribution), Irdeto (content security), Deltatre (platform), and ITV’s internal technology team.
LoginRadius will play an essential role helping BritBox manage the expected growth of its service while improving customer identity and experience.
“We have selected and built an outstanding new agency team of streaming, entertainment, and data specialists at the top of their fields to complement the expertise of our team here at BritBox,” Reemah Sakaan, ITV’s group director for streaming, said in a statement. “We look forward to working hand in hand with them to a successful launch.”
BritBox is bowing in the U.K. priced at £5.99 per month in HD.
