‘Twilight Zone’-Like ‘The Fare’ Heads Home Nov. 19

Epic Pictures has set a Nov. 19 home release date for The Fare, a sci-fi fantasy directed by D.C. Hamilton and starring Gino Pesi, Brinna Kelly, and Jason Stuart.

The film, which becomes available on both Blu-ray Disc and digital HD, features a weary cab driver named Harris (Pesi) and his passenger Penny (Kelly), who charms him throughout her ride. When she disappears from the backseat without a trace, Harris resets his meter and is instantaneously transported back to the moment when she climbed into his cab.  As he and Penny find themselves in this endless nighttime cab ride, secrets are revealed and Harris’ entire life will be changed forever.

An homage to “The Twilight Zone,” The Fare has screened internationally and taken home numerous awards, including the Special Mention Jury Award at Fantasporto, Best Dark Fantasy/Supernatural Film at the Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival, and the Director’s Prize for Overall Concept and Execution at FilmQuest.

The Fare will premier on Nov. 12 in Hollywood at the TCL Chinese Theatre, a week before its release on Blu-ray Disc and digital HD.
