CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Media Distribution have set December home release dates for season-one DVD collections of TV shows “Instinct” and “Our Cartoon President.”
Instinct: Season One arrives on Dec. 11. Adapted from author James Patterson’s novel, “Murder Games,” “Instinct” follows former CIA operative Dr. Dylan Reinhart (Cumming) as he is lured back to his old life when the New York Police Department seeks his help to stop a serial killer
The four-disc collection DVD collection features exclusive bonus content such as a gag reel, deleted and extended scenes, and pilot episodes for other hit CBS series including “Bull,” “The Good Fight” and “SEAL Team.” Instinct: Season One is presented in full frame format with English 5.1 Dolby Digital and English 2.0 Stereo Surround, and English SDH subtitles.
A week later, on Dec. 18, CBS and Paramount will release Our Cartoon President: Season One With World Class Amenities on DVD. “Our Cartoon President” is a satirical animated series about life inside the White House under President Donald Trump. The DVD set includes all 18 episodes from the Showtime original series, including “Election Special 2018.”
The DVD collection also contains exclusive special features, including an introduction from Stephen Colbert; two different commentaries and a video introduction to episode one, “State of the Union,” by directors Tim Luecke, Steve Conner, Mack Williams and Kirill Yeretsky; commentary and a video introduction to episode 15, “The Wall,” by writers/performers Jennifer F. Jackson, Gabriel Gundacker, Eliana Kwartler and Bob Powers; commentary and a video introduction to episode 18, “Election Special 2018,” by R.J. Fried, Zach Smilovitz and Mike Leech; a unique look at the animation process in “The Evolution of Fear” introduced on-camera by the series’ animation directors; and a table read with cast, producers and department heads for episode 11, “Russia Investigation.”
The collection also features the “2016 Election Special” clip, including a video introduction from co-creators Matt Lappin and Tim Luecke; “Cartoon Trump” clip from “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” with a video introduction by the voice of Cartoon Trump, Jeff Bergman; the “White House Correspondents’ Dinner” clip, including a video introduction from executive producers Chris Licht and R.J. Fried; and an image gallery.
The series is produced by CBS Television Studios. Tim Luecke, who co-created “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” version of the animated Trump, serves as lead animator and co-executive producer, while Matt Lappin serves as consulting producer.
