Thai Horror Thriller ‘Creepy Crawly’ Due on Digital, Blu-ray and DVD Oct. 3 From Well Go

Well Go USA Entertainment will release the horror thriller Creepy Crawly on digital, Blu-ray and DVD Oct. 3 in time for Halloween.

In the film, when travelers arrive in Thailand during the pandemic, they must quarantine for 14 days at a hotel run by a secretive manager and staff. Unusual incidents begin at night. Guests start disappearing with no explanation from the staff, leaving the group to wonder whether there may be some truth to urban legends about a terrifying creature rumored to possess its victims, an ancient creature from local Thai folklore.

Co-written and co-directed by Chalit Krileadmongkon (The Beast Below) and Pakphum Wongjinda (Possessed), the film stars Chanya McClory (Sang Krasue 2), Pirat Nitipaisalkul [AKA Mike Angelo] (The Misfits) and Benjamin Joseph Varney (Friend Zone).


Horror Thriller ‘Barun Rai and the House on the Cliff’ Among Titles Due on Blu-ray April 25 From BayView

The dramas The Dreams of Rene Sendam and Emile and the horror thriller Barun Rai and the House on the Cliff are headed to Blu-ray Disc April 25 from BayView Entertainment.

In the horror thriller Barun Rai and the House on the Cliff (2021), which will also be available on digital April 25, a newlywed couple moves into their dream home expecting their new life to be perfect, but unexplained incidents begin occurring that derail their married bliss. Detective Barun Rai is soon hired to investigate as his expertise lies in solving paranormal activities. What the detective ultimately finds will shock and disturb everyone involved.


The drama The Dreams of Rene Sendam (2022) follows an often-alienating eccentric and lonely graduate student studying poetry. Rene leads a fantasy life built on delusion and wonder — and a real life of isolation and rejection. The film follows Rene’s friendships with three other students, including with Marie DiPierro, a free spirit traumatized by her father’s untimely death. Eventually Rene’s dangerous dreams threaten to rupture reality, putting Marie’s life at risk.

The Blu-ray contains three bonus short films from director Joshua Zev Nathan.

In Emile (2003), in the twilight of his life, Emile tries to reconnect with his last living relatives: his niece Nadia and her daughter. But Emile’s past is sometimes more familiar and immediate than the world before his eyes. As he tries to re-discover the family that he abandoned long ago, he is forced to confront the anxieties in his memories, and the family he betrayed and abandoned at the expense of his own happiness.

The film stars Academy Award nominee Ian McKellan (“The Lord of the Rings”) and Deborah Kara Unger (“The Game”).


Horror Thriller ‘M3GAN’ Arrives in Unrated Version on Digital and Streaming Feb. 24 and Disc March 21

The horror thriller M3GAN will arrive in a new unrated version with extras on digital Feb. 24 and on Blu-ray and DVD March 21 from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. 

M3GAN and its unrated version will also stream exclusively on Peacock beginning Feb. 24.

The film, presented from Universal Pictures and Blumhouse and produced by Atomic Monster in association with Divide/Conquer, has crossed $167 million at the global box office.

M3GAN is produced by horror vets — Atomic Monster’s James Wan (Saw, Insidious, The Conjuring, Anabelle) and Blumhouse’s Jason Blum (“Halloween” franchise, The Invisible Man, The Black Phone) — and is directed by Gerald Johnstone (Housebound).

The M3GAN Unrat3d Version delivers more violence and profanity and features never-before-seen bonus content including a breakdown of the creation of M3GAN and behind-the-scenes featurettes showcasing the film’s complex stunts and gory deaths.
The thriller follows M3GAN, a marvel of artificial intelligence and a life-like doll programmed to be a child’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally. Designed by brilliant toy-company roboticist Gemma (Allison Williams, Get Out), M3GAN can listen and watch and learn as she becomes friend and teacher, playmate and protector, for the child she is bonded to. As Gemma faces pressure at work from her boss (Ronny Chieng, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) to deliver a finished version of M3GAN, she suddenly becomes the unprepared caretaker of her newly orphaned 8-year-old niece, Cady (Violet McGraw, The Haunting of Hill House). Gemma decides to pair the M3GAN prototype with Cady in an attempt to resolve both problems — a decision that will have unimaginable consequences.

Indonesian Horror Thriller ‘Death Knot’ Due on Digital, Blu-ray and DVD Jan. 17 From Well Go

The Indonesian horror thriller Death Knot will debut on digital, Blu-ray and DVD Jan. 17 from Well Go USA Entertainment.

In the film, after the sudden suicide of their estranged mother, two siblings return to their hometown and are immediately confronted by angry villagers. Convinced that the woman was a devotee of a dangerous brand of black magic deemed responsible for a string of mysterious deaths over many years, the locals demand that the siblings leave and allow for the burning of their childhood home in order to rid the town of the curse. While initially skeptical, a string of strange occurrences leads the siblings to believe there may be more truth to the rumors than they ever dreamed possible.

Horror Film ‘Prey for the Devil’ Due on Digital Dec. 13, 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD Jan. 3

The horror film Prey for the Devil arrives for digital purchase Dec. 13, and on 4K Ultra HD  combo pack (plus Blu-ray and digital), Blu-ray combo pack (plus DVD and digital), DVD and on demand Jan. 3 from Lionsgate.

The film earned $26 million at the global box office.

The horror thriller Margaux will be released through digital retailers Sept. 9 from Paramount Home Entertainment.

In the film, as a group of seniors celebrate their final college days at a smart house, the house’s highly advanced AI system Margaux begins to take on a deadly presence of her own. A carefree weekend of partying turns into a dystopian nightmare as they realize Margaux’s plans to eliminate her tenants one way or another. Time begins to run out as the group desperately tries to survive and outsmart the smart home.

Horror-Thriller ‘Mid-Century’ Headed to Digital June 17, Disc July 26

The  horror-thriller Mid-Century is being released in select theaters, on demand and for digital purchase June 17, and on Blu-ray and DVD July 26 from Lionsgate.

Mid-Century follows a husband and wife on a weekend in a mid-century modern vacation rental that turns deadly when the husband discovers the owner is a psychopath with a backyard of buried secrets and designs on his wife.

Directed by Sonja O’Hara (Best Director winner for Mid-Century at this year’s L.A. Film Festival), the film stars Academy Award nominee Bruce Dern (Nebraska), Stephen Lang (“Avatar” franchise) and Shane West (“Gotham”).
