Sequel ‘I Still Know What You Did Last Summer’ Headed to 4K UHD Sept. 26 for Its 25th Anniversary

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release the 1998 horror sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer on 4K Ultra HD Sept. 26 for its 25th anniversary.

Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr., Brandy, and Mekhi Phifer star in the sequel to I Know What You Did Last Summer. In the sequel, Ben Willis, the fisherman who killed the boy who was driving the car when it went off the road in the fatal accident that killed his daughter Sara, is back. He’s in a slicker with a hook in his hand ready to exact bloody justice.

Special features on 4K Ultra HD — which presents the film scanned from the original camera negative and presented in 4K resolution with Dolby Vision, approved by director Danny Cannon — include a new commentary with director Danny Cannon and “He Still Knows What You Did: An Interview with Muse Watson.” Special features on the Blu-ray in the combo pack include a making-of featurette, the music video “How Do I Deal” performed by Jennifer Love Hewitt, and the theatrical trailer.

‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Due on 4K Ultra HD Sept. 27

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release I Know What You Did Last Summer on 4K Ultra HD Sept. 27 for its 25th anniversary.

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Sarah Michelle Gellar star with Freddie Prinze Jr., Ryan Phillippe and Johnny Galecki in this horror tale of teenage suspense. After an accident on a winding road, four teens make the fatal mistake of dumping their victim’s body into the sea. Exactly one year later, the four friends’ deadly secret resurfaces as they’re stalked by a hook-handed figure.

The 4K Ultra HD disc includes the feature scanned from the original camera negative and presented with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio plus original 5.1. Bonus features on the 4K disc include six deleted scenes plus an alternate ending, “My Own Summer: An Interview with Director Jim Gillespie,” and “He Knows What You Did: An Interview with Muse Watson.”

The Blu-ray Disc includes the feature presented in HD and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 audio. Bonus features on Blu-ray include filmmaker commentary, the director’s short film “Joyride” with optional commentary, the “Now I Know What You Did Last Summer” featurette, the music video “Hush” performed by Kula Shaker, and the theatrical trailer.
