Target Announces Holiday Deals

Each Sunday, starting Oct. 31, Target announced it will unveil new week-long “Holiday Best” deals available in store and online.

The chain will offer first look at the next week’s deals in Target’s digital weekly ad. The first week of deals, starting Oct. 31 and running through Nov. 6, include:

Deals tagged “Holiday Best” at Target, offer the chain’s “best planned price of season,” according to Target. If shoppers see a lower deal price later in the season, Target pledges to match it with the Holiday Price Match Guarantee.

Best Buy Black Friday Deals Start

Best Buy Oct. 19-22 is offering hundreds of Black Friday deals available on tech, including everything from headphones to laptops and TVs.

Deals include $599 for a Samsung 70-inch 4K Smart TV ($150 savings), $169 for Beats Studio 3 headphones in matte black ($180 savings), Chromebooks as low as $99, Windows laptops as low as $189.99, and $540 savings on Samsung appliances.

Deals are covered by a Black Friday Price Guarantee, which means the price won’t go lower before Black Friday, according to Best Buy. Best Buy will automatically refund My Best Buy and Best Buy Totaltech members the difference. If the price goes lower before Black Friday and customers are not a member of My Best Buy or Best Buy Totaltech, they can still be reimbursed by visiting their local store or contacting the Best Buy customer care team and requesting a price match under our Price Match Guarantee, according to the chain.

At Best Buy, Black Friday starts a week early on Nov. 19. Best Buy stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25. Customers who would still like to shop that day can shop on BestBuy.com or through the Best Buy app.

Dish Launches Offer for Military, Veterans and First Responders

On the eve of Memorial Day weekend, Dish has launched a new special customer offer tailored to active duty military, veterans and first responders.

The offer gives qualifying new and existing customers complimentary custom programming, a monthly family movie night courtesy of Dish and the ability to watch TV anywhere.

“Dish understands that life can be complex for military and first responders, and sometimes they just want to unwind,” Jay Roth, chief marketing officer at Dish, said in a statement. “From providing a monthly On Demand family movie night, to making sure they can stream hometown content while deployed, we designed this new offer as a way to enjoy time with loved ones and relax at the end of a long day. It’s all part of our commitment to being ‘Tuned In To You.’”

With the new offer, qualifying customers will receive the below benefits at no additional cost, valued at more than $500 over two years, according to Dish:

 

  • “Stars and Stripes Pack,” which features access to a suite of custom-curated channels, including Starz Encore Westerns, Smithsonian Channel, American Heroes Channel and more;
  • “monthly family movie night,” offering the first On Demand movie rental each month at no cost; and
  • “TV anywhere you go,” a DVR upgrade to a compatible Hopper family set-top box, allowing qualified participants to stream 100% of live and recorded TV to mobile devices with Dish Anywhere with no upfront upgrade fees required.

 

Earlier this month, Dish also unveiled a special offer for new customers 55 and older, including free On Demand content and a discount on worry-free protection with the Dish Gold protection package.

FandangoNow Launches Movie ‘Flashbacks’ Promo

Video-on-demand service FandangoNow is running a “Flashbacks” promotion, kicking off with discounts on You’ve Got Mail for its 2oth anniversary.

Through Dec. 23, the film, starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, will be available to rent for $2.99 ($3.99 HD) and to own for $7.99 at FandangoNow Flashbacks.

FandangoNow will also be offering special promotions for the 30th anniversary of the 1988 Bette Midler classic Beaches (Dec. 23-29, rent for $2.99 and $3.99 HD, own for $14.99) and for the fifth anniversary of the Oscar-nominated Leonardo DiCaprio starrer The Wolf of Wall Street (Dec. 25-31, rent for $3.99 SD or HD, own for $6.99).
