Magnolia Pictures’ AVOD Service CineLife Headed to Plex

Home entertainment distributor Magnolia Pictures Nov. 8 announced it is expanding access to branded ad-supported VOD service CineLife to the Plex platform. Available through the Plex app and AVOD platform, programming includes independent films and documentaries from Magnolia’s catalog.

Available on virtually every platform, including iOS and Android devices, Plex aims to offer users easier access to indie movies and docs.

With the arrival of CineLife, Plex users will have access to horror movie Let the Right One In; space drama Europa Report; horror anthology V/H/S; psychological horror film Shrooms; and the sci-fi action-adventure starring Thomas Jane and Ron Perlman, Mutant Chronicles. Additional streaming titles include All Good Things, Man on Wire, Melancholia, Mother and The Hunt, among others.

Plex can stream across just about any phone, tablet, smart TV, gaming console and PC, in addition to streaming devices Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku and on iOS and Android.

Magnolia Pictures Bows Ad-Supported Channel on Redbox Free Live TV

Home entertainment distributor Magnolia Pictures May 20 announced new distribution for CineLife, an ad-supported channel from Spotlight Cinema Networks on Redbox Free Live TV. The channel features independent films and documentaries from Magnolia Pictures’ catalog.

Ad-supported Redbox Free Live TV offers 24-hour access to programming, including independent films from Magnolia Pictures. The CineLife channel’s titles include The Last Days on Mars, starring Liev Schreiber; The Magic of Belle Isle, starring Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman; as well as Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Virginia Madsen; and Deadfall, starring Olivia Wilde, Eric Bana and Charlie Hunnam. CineLife will also showcase A Long Way Down, A Royal Affair, Nowitzki: The Perfect Shot, Detour and World’s Greatest Dad, among others.

CineLife is available for streaming on the Redbox App, Web, iOS, Android devices, Android TV, Chromecast, Roku, LG and Vizio.
