Mill Creek Entertainment is mounting its first-ever co-production of a feature film with the remake of the 1930s classic The Most Dangerous Game.
Mill Creek joins Koenig Pictures, in association with Charach Productions, in the remake starring Tom Berenger (Inception, Platoon, Major League), Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers, Sleepy Hollow, Tarzan in the Lost City), Chris “CT” Tamburello (MTV’s “The Challenge,” Habitual), Bruce Dern (Nebraska, The Hateful Eight) and Judd Nelson (The Breakfast Club, St. Elmo’s Fire).
Currently in production, the film is anticipated for a theatrical release in select cities in summer 2022.
Mill Creek will oversee the North American release of the film on all formats, theatrical, broadcast, digital and physical.
The story follows a father and son on a steamer ship bound for a great hunting expedition in the wilds of Alaska when they become shipwrecked on a mysterious island. Greeted with a warm invitation by the island’s only resident, Baron Von Wolf, the men are wined and dined and talk of hunting ensues. But soon, they learn what Baron’s trophy hunts truly are, and a game of cat and mouse begins as the group tries to stay alive on a desolate island that is a human hunting ground.
