‘The Most Dangerous Game’ Due in Theaters, on Digital Aug. 5 From Mill Creek

The Most Dangerous Game will be released on digital Aug. 5 from Mill Creek Entertainment, Koenig Pictures and Charach Productions. 

The film will debut theatrically in select markets. 

In this remake on the 90th anniversary of the 1932 classic, a father and son on a steamer ship bound for a great hunting expedition in the wilds of Alaska are shipwrecked on a mysterious island. Greeted warmly by the island’s only resident, the relieved men are wined and dined and talk of hunting ensues. When their host reveals the true nature of his trophy hunts, the stranded men are forced to run for their lives or fight to survive on a desolate island that is a human hunting ground.

The action adventure stars Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers, Sleepy Hollow), Chris “C T” Tamburello (MTV’s “The Challenge,” Habitual),  Tom Berenger (Inception, Platoon), Oscar-nominated Bruce Dern (Nebraska, The Hateful Eight) and Judd Nelson (The Breakfast Club, St. Elmo’s Fire). 

The film is written, directed and produced by Justin Lee (Final Kill).

 

Mill Creek Mounts First Feature Co-Production With ‘Most Dangerous Game’ Remake

Mill Creek Entertainment is mounting its first-ever co-production of a feature film with the remake of the 1930s classic The Most Dangerous Game.

Mill Creek joins Koenig Pictures, in association with Charach Productions, in the remake starring Tom Berenger (Inception, Platoon, Major League), Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers, Sleepy Hollow, Tarzan in the Lost City), Chris “CT” Tamburello (MTV’s “The Challenge,” Habitual), Bruce Dern (Nebraska, The Hateful Eight) and Judd Nelson (The Breakfast Club, St. Elmo’s Fire).

Currently in production, the film is anticipated for a theatrical release in select cities in summer 2022.

Mill Creek will oversee the North American release of the film on all formats, theatrical, broadcast, digital and physical.

The story follows a father and son on a steamer ship bound for a great hunting expedition in the wilds of Alaska when they become shipwrecked on a mysterious island. Greeted with a warm invitation by the island’s only resident, Baron Von Wolf, the men are wined and dined and talk of hunting ensues. But soon, they learn what Baron’s trophy hunts truly are, and a game of cat and mouse begins as the group tries to stay alive on a desolate island that is a human hunting ground.

The film is written, directed and produced by Justin Lee (Final Kill), with producers Michelle Ng, Ed Morroe, and executive producer Bill Sondheim, who originally brought the project to Mill Creek where he has several other film related projects.
