Shout! Factory has announced the Sept. 4 release of The B-52s: Live at the US Festival, a live performance recorded of the B-52s in action at the 1982 inaugural US Festival.
The performance, which will be available on DVD and other digital platforms, features all five original band members and is dedicated to the band’s guitarist Ricky Wilson, who passed away five years after the performance.
The B-52s: Live at the US Festival is the first-ever DVD release from their classic era, and comes packed with 13 hits and favorites from the groups earlier years, including “Party Out of Bounds,” “Give Me Back My Man,” Planet Claire,” “Throw That Beat in the Garbage Can,” “Lava,” “Mesopotamia,” “6060-842,” “Big Bird,” “52 Girls,” “Dance This Mess Around,” “Private Idaho,” “Rock Lobster” and “Strobe Light.”
Bonus features will include new interviews with Fred Schneider, Kate Pierson and Cindy Wilson talking about Ricky and what he meant to their unique sound, along with memories from their performance at the US inaugural festival.
