Schwarzenegger Adventure ‘Iron Mask’ Due on Digital Nov. 20, Disc Nov. 24

The fantasy adventure Iron Mask will come out on digital and on demand Nov. 20 and on Blu-ray and DVD Nov. 24 from Lionsgate.

For the first time ever, screen legends Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jackie Chan face off against each other in battle. In the film, in order to save his homeland from certain doom, a kung fu master (Chan) must escape from the maniacal James Hook (Schwarzenegger) in order to send his daughter a secret talisman that will allow her to control a massive and mythical dragon. The globe-trotting tale — ranging from the impenetrable Tower of London to the fabled Silk Road and China’s Great Wall — also stars Rutger Hauer in one of the screen icon’s final performances.

‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’ 4K Ultra HD Steelbook Arriving Dec. 1

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is re-releasing the Ang Lee action-adventure fantasy Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray as a limited-edition Steelbook Dec. 1.

The film won Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film, Best Cinematography, Best Original Score and Best Art Direction.

It follows two master warriors (Chow Yun Fat and Michelle Yeoh) who are faced with their greatest challenge when the treasured Green Destiny sword is stolen. A young aristocrat (Zhang Ziyi) prepares for an arranged marriage, but soon reveals her superior fighting talents and her deeply romantic past. As each warrior battles for justice, they come face to face with their worst enemy — and the inescapable, enduring power of love.

Set against 19th century China’s breathtaking landscape, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is directed by two-time Best Director Oscar winner Lee (Brokeback Mountain, 2005; Life of Pi, 2012) and features martial arts choreography by Yuen Wo Ping (The Matrix).

The limited edition Steelbook includes the film on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray. The film was originally released on 4K Ultra HD in 2016.

‘An Evil Tale,’ ‘Vampire War’ Available on DVD From Wild Eye and MVD

Two scary films, An Evil Tale and Vampire War, are available on DVD from Wild Eye Releasing and MVD Entertainment Group.

In An Evil Tale, based on the Scottish urban legend, a family discovers they are the victim of a centuries old curse when a rare relic is discovered near their home. They must join forces with a paranormal investigator to battle this evil force that has possessed everything around them. The film stars Dina Najjar (A Brilliant Monster), Kelly Riese (Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!), Karen Scheafer (The House on Misty Lane) and Kurt Mullins (Dawn of the Dead). Extras include the “Behind the Scenes: Parrish Grove Inn” featurette and cast interviews.

In Vampire War, after a series of mysterious killings in the German countryside, it is discovered that vampires with origins in the Middle Ages are to blame for the attacks. The condemned vampire clan leader, Montrak was discovered and hunted by humans, but even as his reign came to a close, his subjects created a new vampire master to replace him, one blessed by Lucifer himself, to rule over the present day. Directed by Stefan Schwenk (Legend of Hell, Sick Pigs), the film stars Udo Schenk (Operation Valkyrie, 13 Minutes, Little Murders, The Old Fox), Charles Rettinghaus (Sky Sharks, Planet USA) and Sönke Möhring (Ingloriuous Basterds, Invisible Heroes, Berlin Station). Fantasy Adventure ‘Abigail’ Coming Home on Digital and Disc March 17 From Well Go

The steampunk fantasy adventure Abigail will debut on digital, Blu-ray and DVD March 17 from Well Go USA Entertainment.

When townspeople start dying from a mysterious illness, Abigail’s town closes itself off from the outside world and takes away everyone infected with the disease, including Abigail’s beloved father, to be executed. Ten years later, as she’s trying to escape the town’s security forces, Abby uncovers a shocking truth — her father may still be alive. In a journey filled with danger and discoveries, Abby sets out on a magical adventure that overturns everything she once knew about the world, her family and herself.
