CBS and Paramount Home Entertainment will release Star Trek: Lower Decks — Season 2 on Blu-ray Disc and DVD July 12.
The animated series, which originally debuted on the Paramount+ streaming service, follows the adventures of the crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos, with a focus on the crewmembers who don’t always get the glory. The voice cast includes Tawny Newsome, Jack Quaid, Eugene Cordero, Noël Wells, Dawnn Lewis, Jerry O’Connell, Frad Tatasciore, Gillian Vigman, Paul Scheer and Carl Tart.
The Blu-ray and DVD release includes all 10 episodes from the second season, plus more than an hour of extras, such as animatics; Easter eggs; audio commentaries on four episodes; the featurette “A Sound Foundation,” about the series’ sound design; and “Lower Decktionary: Season Two,” a look at the making of the episodes.
