Sony’s ‘Uncharted’ Again Tops Weekend Box Office

Actor Tom Holland continued his box office magic as Sony Pictures’ video game adaptation Uncharted stayed atop the North American box office for a second weekend, generating a projected $23.2 million across more than 4,200 screens through Feb. 27. The actioner, which co-stars Mark Wahlberg, has sold more than $83 million worth of tickets in North America, and $176 million globally.

Meanwhile, Holland’s other enduring box office smash, Spider-Man: No Way Home, finished atop the podium with $5.7 million in ticket sales across 3,000 screens, as the movie inches toward a $780 million North American theatrical gross in its final exhibition days.

Separately, in the No. 2 spot, MGM/United Artists Releasing’s family-friendly Dog, starring Canning Tatum, is projected to top $30 million on total ticket sales after generating more than $10 million through the weekend. Other holdovers included 20th Century Studios’ Death on the Nile, which generated another $4.5 million ($32.8 million worldwide), and Paramount Pictures’ Jackass Forever, which took in a solid $3.1 million to bring its four-weekend North American total to $52 million.
