Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s Spider-Man: No Way Home claimed a third week as the U.K.’s top-selling movie through April 6, holding strong on digital downloads only ahead of its release on packaged media, according to new data from the Official Film Chart.
No Way Home held off the week’s highest new entry, Paramount Home Entertainment’s horror relaunch Scream (2022). Twenty-five years after the events of the first film, a new killer puts on the Ghostface mask in an attempt to resurrect secrets from the quiet town’s deadly past.
The fifth instalment of the franchise features Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courteney Cox, and Roger L. Jackson reprising their roles from the previous films in the series, alongside new cast members Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega.
Meanwhile, The Matrix Resurrections (No. 3), Dune (No. 4) (both Warner Bros.) and No Time to Die (No. 5) (Universal Pictures Home Entertainment) all moved down one place, while Disney’s Encanto (No. 6) climbed two spots. Clifford The Big Red Dog dropped to No. 7 as West Side Story finished at No. 8 for the week.
Following the 2022 Oscars, King Richard (Warner) climbed 22 spots to No. 9, entering the top 10 for the very first time. The film is a biographical look at how tennis legends Venus and Serena Williams’ lives were shaped by their father’s coaching.
Paramount’s Paw Patrol: The Movie rounded off the week’s top 10 after leaping seven spots to No. 10.
