February 25, 2022
Sony Pictures’ surprise box office hit Uncharted, co-starring Tom Holland (Spider-Man: No Way Home) and Mark Walhberg, looks to again lead a sluggish North American theatrical weekend with projected $23.5 million in ticket sales through Feb. 27. The actioner has generated more than $145 million globally since its Feb. 10 debut.
Separately, United Artists Releasing’s family film, Dog, starring Channing Tatum, is projected to again finish as the runner-up with more than $8 million in domestic ticket sales, pushing its box office total near $30 million since last weekend.
No Way Home is projected to generate another $6 million in revenue ($780 million domestically) as the Marvel webslinger release winds down its theatrical run. Disney/20th Century Studios’ holdover Death on the Nile is expected to follow with $4.2 million, followed by Paramount Pictures’ Jackass Forever with $3.2 million.
New releases this weekend include United Artists Releasing’s Cyrano with $2.8 million, and Open Road Films’ Studio 666 with $2.7 million.
