March 8, 2023
The second season of the adult animated series “Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head” will premiere on the Paramount+ streaming service April 20 in the United States and Canada. Australia and the United Kingdom will get the premiere a day later, with further international markets to follow.
The season will kick off with two episodes April 20, with new episodes weekly to follow. This was the same distribution pattern for the first season, which consisted of twelve episodes. The episodes were later released on Comedy Central as a “new” season.
Created and voiced by writer, producer and director Mike Judge, the characters of Beavis and Butt-Head originated in Judge’s 1992 short film “Frog Baseball,” which was broadcast by MTV’s animation showcase “Liquid Television.” After MTV commissioned a full series around the characters, “Beavis and Butt-Head” ran for seven seasons, from March 8, 1993, to Nov. 28, 1997. The series was revived in 2011 with an eighth season airing on MTV.

The two Paramount+ seasons would be the ninth and tenth for the franchise, which also includes two feature films: 1996’s theatrically released Beavis and Butt-Head Do America, and 2022’s Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe, which was released on Paramount+ prior to the first season of “Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head.”
Season one of “Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head” arrives on DVD March 14 in a collection with Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe.
