Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical finished No. 1 in its retail debut on the U.K.’s Official Film Chart through Feb. 15.

The film adaptation of Tim Minchin’s Tony and Olivier award-winning musical — itself based on Roald Dahl’s book — dominated the chart, based  on digital sales, and outselling the rest of the top 10 combined.

Newcomer Alisha Weir stars as Matilda Wormwood, a talented little girl with mysterious powers who finds the courage to stand up to troublesome headteacher Miss Trunchbull (Emma Thompson) and her dreadful parents, with a little help from her friends and inspirational teacher Miss Honey (Lashana Lynch).

The movie, co-produced by Sony Pictures’ TriStar Pictures, is marketed in the U.S. as an exclusive Netflix original movie.

Separately, former chart toppers, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s Black Adam remained No. 2 in sales for another week, with Paramount Pictures’ Top Gun: Maverick moving up to No. 3.

Second new chart entry, Sony’s Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance With Somebody debuted at No. 4. Starring Naomi Ackie as Houston, the film follows the late musical legend’s journey from obscurity to musical superstardom, through the emotional highs and lows she faced during her life.

Last week’s No. 1, Oscar-nominated dark comedy The Banshees of Inisherin, finished No. 5, followed by another former chart-topper, Jurassic World Dominion at No. 6, and historical drama The Woman King, starring Viola Davis, at No. 7.

Rounding off the chart is Warner’s Elvis (No. 8), Sony’s Bullet Train (No. 9), and Warner’s Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore at No. 10.
