Oscar Nominee ‘Darkest Hour’ Due Feb. 6 on Digital, Feb. 27 on Disc

The day after Oscar nominations came out, Universal Studios Home Entertainment announced the digital and disc release date for six-time nominee Darkest Hour.

The title, which follows Prime Minister Winston Churchill’s confrontation with Hitler, will be available digitally Feb. 6 and on Blu-ray Disc, DVD and On Demand Feb. 27.

The film picked up six nominations, including Best Picture, Best Actor in a Leading Role (Gary Oldman), Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, and Best Production Design.

The Blu-ray Disc and DVD come with a feature commentary from director Joe Wright and two, exclusive behind-the-scenes featurettes that show Oldman’s transformation into Churchill and offer an inside look at the making of the film.

Darkest Hour has tallied more than $40 million at the box office.
