Nielsen: Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things’ Topped Household Streaming For Third Straight Week Through June 19
July 14, 2022
The third week of availability of the final batch of episodes for season four of “Stranger Things,” combined with access to prior seasons of the popular sci-fi series, resulted in the Netflix original series topping all household streaming for the week ended June 19, according to new data from Nielsen.
The combined 32 episodes generated 2.95 billion minutes across U.S household televisions — more than the minutes of the next three programs (“Peaky Blinders,” “NCIS,” and Amazon Prime Video’s “The Boys”) combined.
Netflix again dominated weekly streaming with eight of the top 10 programs consumed through mid-June. In addition to Prime Video, Disney+ original “Star Wars” spinoff show “Obi-Wan Kenobi” ranked seventh on the week with 733 million minutes consumed.
