Nielsen: Amazon Prime Video’s ‘Reacher’ Ekes Out Weekly Streaming Chart Win

Amazon Prime Video found its original series, “Reacher,” reach the coveted No. 1 spot on Nielsen’s streaming chart for the first time since the research company began tracking the top weekly streamed movies and TV shows on household televisions.
Starring Alan Ritchson in the title role, the eight-episode series tracked 1.589 billion minutes for the week through Feb. 13 following its Feb. 4 release, narrowly edging out 20 episodes of “Sweet Magnolias” at 1.556 billion minutes on Netflix. Three other programs topped 1 billion minutes, including Netflix’s 37-episode run of “Ozark” with 1.222 billion minutes, “Inventing Anna” with 1.219 billion minutes across nine episodes, and Disney’s animated musical Encanto with 1.183 billion minutes.
