

New Season of ‘You’ Again Topped Netflix Weekly Streaming Through Feb. 19

The debut the first half of season four of murder-mystery series “You” again topped all weekly Netflix streaming through Feb. 19. The five episodes generated 64.1 million hours viewed across 88 countries. In its first 11 days, the new season episode release realized 38 million viewers. The series, which stars Penn Badgley as an obsessive bookstore manager, also saw renewed interest in the show’s season one (22.4 million hours viewed at No. 3), season two (15.1 million hours) and season three (15.6 million hours) — all charting on the English-language TV show top 10.
The debut of the first season of new reality dating show “Perfect Match,” featuring contestants from other reality shows such as “Love Is Blind,” “Too Hot to Handle” and “The Ultimatum,” topped 24.6 million hours across 47 countries.
Separately, romantic comedy Your Place or Mine retained its No. 1 ranking on the English-language movie chart with 53.8 million hours viewed across 92 countries. In its first 10 days, the film, co-starring Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher, had 56.7 million views. Rounding out the podium were the debuts of Universal Pictures’ 2013 actioner 2Guns, with 12.4 million hours viewed, and Sony Pictures’ Golden Globe winning The Woman King, with 12.2 million hours.

Notably, long-running series “Wednesday” ended the week at No. 5 with another 20.2 million hours viewed in its 13th week of release. The show, starring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams from “The Addams Family” has generated almost 1.24 billion hours streamed to become No. 2 all-time behind “Stranger Things” season four with 1.35 billion hours viewed. “Ginny & Georgia” season two remained on the chart with another 18.5 million hours viewed, upping its all-time total past 504 million hours.
Non-English-language movies continued their downward trend in popularity, as Oscar-nominated German World War I movie All Quiet on the Western Front marked its 13th week on the top 10 non-English-language chart (at No. 7) with just under 3 million hours viewed. Polish romantic comedy Squared Love All Over Again debuted at No. 1 with 12.8 million hours viewed, followed by Mexican comedic drama All the Places (9.9 million hours viewed) and Korean thriller Unlocked, with 8.9 million hours.
Love All Over Again viewership was down 42% from the previous week’s No. 1 non-English-language movie Viking Wolf, at 21.5 million hours, the latter down 23% from its debut the week before at 28 million hours.
Korean content continues to dominate Netflix’s non-English-language top 10 TV chart. The reality competition series “Physical: 100″ again dominated with 45.4 million hours viewed across 80 countries. Korean romantic comedies “Love to Hate You” (28.5 million hours at No. 2) and “Crash Course in Romance” (21.5 million hours), and dramas “True Beauty” (14.9 million hours) and “Alchemy of Souls Part 2″ (11.9 million hours) also made the list. Meanwhile, Italian series “The Law According to Lidia Poët” entered the chart at No. 3 with 28. 2 million hours viewed. Finally, season three of Mexican drama “La Reina del Sur” remained on the chart for the eighth straight week with 14.9 million hours.
