‘New Mutants’ Tops Vudu, FandangoNow Charts

The New Mutants topped both the Vudu and FandangoNow charts for the week ended Nov. 22.

Both are transactional video-on-demand services owned by Fandango.

The action-adventure, which debuted on TVOD Nov. 17, is based on the Marvel comic book. The film follows five young people who demonstrate special powers who are forced to undergo treatment at a secret institution.

Unhinged, starring Russell Crowe, took the silver on both the Vudu and FandangoNow charts. In the thriller, Crowe plays a mentally unstable man who pursues a female driver in an extreme case of road rage.

Coming in at No. 3 on both charts was the horror thriller Come Play, which debuted on TVOD Nov. 20. In the film, Parents fight to save their son when a mysterious creature uses his electronic devices to break into our world.
