The resulting film takes viewers on a journey through  holidays and family rituals in suburban bourgeois France to trips abroad in Albania and Egypt, Spain and the USSR. Supplying her own introspective voiceover, Ernaux and her co-filmmaker, her son David, guide viewers through fragments of a decade, diffuse and vivid in equal measure.

Aggressive, confident teddy bear Bluet and his sensitive, withdrawn brother Tubby could not be more different. As the rigors and humiliation of teddy bear bootcamp turn to the psychedelic horrors of a combat tour in the Magic Forest, their complicated history and increasingly strained relationship will come to determine the fate of the entire war.

Her boyfriend David (Mark Wahlburg) is all that and more: a modern-day knight who charms and seduces her, body and soul. But her perfect boyfriend is not all he seems to be. His sweet facade masks a savage, dark side that will soon transform Nicole’s dream into a nightmare.

In the action film The Fan, when the San Francisco Giants pay centerfielder Bobby Rayburn (Wesley Snipes) $40 million to lead their team to the World Series, no one is happier or more supportive than No. 1 fan Gil Renard (Robert De Niro). In the comedy Problem Child, when 7-year-old Junior comes into their lives, the Healys hope he will brighten their days. But Junior is more mischievous than they could have imagined as he turns ordinary days into full-scale comic nightmares.
