Netflix is enhancing features of its $19.99 monthly premium plan to include spatial audio and increase the number of download devices from four to six to watch Netflix content offline.
The premium plan currently offers the 4K HDR video resolution without ads. Spatial audio claims to bring immersive cinematic sound on more than 700 of the streamer’s most-watched titles, including “Stranger Things,” “The Watcher,” “Wednesday” and Glass Onion.
Netflix is also adding spatial audio to new releases, including “You,” “Your Place or Mine,” “Luther: The Fallen Sun” and the “Tour de France.”
“This truly magical sound experience is a game changer for the Premium plan viewing experience,” Rishu Arora, director of product management, wrote in a blog post.
