Netflix Reveals 2023 Original Movie Slate

Netflix Jan. 18 unveiled an ambitious original movie slate that features upwards of 50 new and sequel features across all genres. Returning streaming favorites include Murder Mystery 2 with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston on March 31, and Extraction 2 with Chris Hemsworth on June 16. Director Zack Snyder’s new sci-fi action film Rebel Moon is set to launch on Dec. 22.
Director Sam Esmail’s thriller Leave the World Behind, starring Julia Roberts and Mahershala Ali, bows on Dec. 8, while Idris Elba returns to play anti-hero DCI Luther in Luther: The Fallen Sun on March 10, and David Yates’ drama The Pain Hustlers launches on Oct. 27. Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher team up in romantic comedy Your Place or Mine on Feb. 10, and Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron and Joey King headline A Family Affair on Nov. 17.
On May 12, Jennifer Lopez plays a female assassin in The Mother, while Kevin Hart attempts to pull off an international heist in F. Gary Gray’s Lift, debuting Aug. 25. Gal Gadot stars in actioner Heart of Stone on Aug. 11, while John Boyega and Jamie Foxx team for the July 21 pulpy action mystery They Cloned Tyrone. Millie Bobby Brown, Angela Bassett and Robin Wright star in Damsel (Oct. 13), while Adam Sandler voices the animated film Leo on Nov. 22.
