Netflix Partnering With Pokémon for Animated Series

Netflix Feb. 27 announced a collaboration with The Pokémon Company for its first collaborative stop-motion production, “Pokémon Concierge,” produced by Dwarf Animation Studio in Pérols, France.
Expanding the Pokémon world, the story follows Haru, a concierge at the ‘Pokémon Resort,’ and her interactions with Pokémon and their owners who visit as guests.
The deal comes as Netflix eyes continued subscriber growth in Asia, the streamer’s top region for new members.
Minyoung Kim, VP of Netflix content in Asia, said the streamer is looking forward to engaging viewers in Japan and globally with the Pokémon brand.
“We’re also excited to reveal this new series on Pokémon Day (Feb. 27) and provide fans with even more things to look forward to on this special holiday celebrating the popular franchise,” Kim said in a statement.
