Netflix Hit ‘Wednesday’ Renewed for a Second Season

The Netflix series “Wednesday” has been renewed for a second season, according to the subscription streaming service’s Tudum publication.
The series, starring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams from “The Addams Family,” has been a hit on Netflix, topping streaming lists after it debuted with all episodes Nov. 23. A spinoff of the character from the books and TV show “The Addams Family,” the supernaturally infused mystery from director and executive producer Tim Burton charts Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy.

“We can’t wait to dive headfirst into another season and explore the kooky, spooky world of Nevermore,” co-showrunners Miles Millar and Alfred Gough told Tudum. “We just need to make sure Wednesday hasn’t emptied the pool first.”
Netflix also released a tweet about the renewal.
