The Netflix original thriller Brazen, starring actress/activist Alyssa Milano as a murder-mystery writer who gets pulled into a real-life plot involving her sister, was the streamer’s most-watched English-language movie through Jan. 16 with more than 45.3 million hours viewed.
The romantic drama topped another newcomer, The Secret Life of Pets 2, with 9.4 million hours viewed, in addition to erstwhile chart topper Don’t Look Up, which generated 28.4 million hours in its fourth week of release. Mother/Android generated 23.1 million hours in its second week of release.
Don’t Look Up remains Netflix’s second most-popular movie, with 350 million hours streamed worldwide in the first 28 days since its debut. Red Notice remains the most-popular Netflix original movie, with 364 million hours streamed.
For the week, other top 10 movies included Just Go with It with 8.8 million hours in its third week of release; Red Notice with 8.7 million hours in its 10th week of release; Back to the Outback with 8.7 million hours in week No. 6; Tides with 8.4 million hours; Riverdance: The Animated Adventure with 7.8 million; and The Clovehitch Killer with 7 million hours streamed.
