‘Mystify Michael Hutchence’ Doc Gets Home Release Dates

Shout! Factory has set home release dates for Mystify Michael Hutchence, a documentary that takes an in-depth look into the life and death of the lead singer of INXS.

The film — directed by Richard Lowenstein, a friend of Hutchence — will be available digitally Jan. 21, with a Blu-ray Disc and DVD release following on  March 31. It is available for preorder now on Shout! Factory’s website and Amazon.

Mystify follows the life of the lead singer of Australian rock band INXS, Michael Hutchence, who died at 37 while on tour to promote their 10th studio album Elegantly Wasted. The documentary relies primarily on rare archive footage, outtakes, home video and audio commentary provided by friends, ex-partners, band members, and family to delve beneath the public persona of the “Rock God” and reveals a multifaceted, intensely sensitive and complex man.
