Monster Flick ‘Godmonster of Indian Flats’ Due on Blu-ray July 10 From MVD

Godmonster of Indian Flats will come out July 10 on Blu-ray from MVD Entertainment Group, Alamo Drafthouse’s American Genre Film Archive and Something Weird.

The film, written and directed by infamous outsider artist Fredric C. Hobbs, is the story of an 8-foot-tall toxic sheep monster that blows up gas stations, smashes crooked politicians, terrorizes stoners and crashes a children’s picnic.

Special features include a new 4K preservation from the only surviving 35mm theatrical print; rampaging monster trailers; shorts from the Something Weird vaults; a bonus movie, Legend of Bigfoot (1975); and reversible cover art with illustration by Shana Cleveland.

The American Genre Film Archive is the largest non-profit genre film archive in the world, and via a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2015, it purchased a 4K film scanner to create new digital transfers of titles from the Something Weird library. Godmonster of Indian Flats is the fourth release from the partnership, following The Zodiac Killer, Bat Pussy and Ed Wood’s The Violent Years.
