Merchandising: ‘Mortal Kombat’ Steelbook at Best Buy

As is often the case, the only real retailer exclusives for the new home video releases of July 13 were a couple of Steelbook editions offered by Best Buy.

Most notable is the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray combo pack Steelbook for Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s Mortal Kombat, offered at $34.99.

Best Buy also had a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Steelbook for Sony Pictures’ Snatch, offered at $25.99.

Target ran a promotion giving a discount of 30% off select movies.

Some Walmarts in Southern California continue to have supply issues, as a store in Tustin had none of the week’s new releases on display well after 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Walmart did have an exclusive three-movie DVD collection of the new Mortal Kombat movie with the 1995 version and its 1997 sequel.
