Marvel Film ‘Shang-Chi’ Leads Weekly Vudu Chart

Disney’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings led the chart of the 10 most-popular titles on Fandango’s transactional digital service Vudu the week ended Nov. 21.

The Marvel Comics superhero film, which jumped from the No. 2 spot the previous week, is available for digital purchase.

Coming in at No. 2 (dropping from No. 1 the previous week) was the latest James Bond film No Time to Die. The MGM/United Artists Releasing spy thriller, the fifth and final Bond movie featuring Daniel Craig as Agent 007, is available for premium digital rental.

Yellowstone: Season 4, the fourth installment in the Kevin Costner series about a family of ranchers, took the bronze on the chart for a second consecutive week. The digital UHD version of the season is currently available only on Vudu, according to the service.

At No. 4 was Universal’s latest “Fast & Furious” sequel,  F9: The Fast Saga, on sale on the service.

Coming in at No. 5 was Free Guy, which is available for digital purchase and rental. The Disney-owned 20th Century Studios film stars Ryan Reynolds as a bank teller who discovers he is actually a background player in an open-world video game and decides to become the hero of his own story.

The “Sopranos” prequel The Many Saints of Newark, newly available for premium rental and purchase, debuted on the Vudu chart in the No. 8 position. Also, consumers got into the spirit of the holidays with the 2000 live-action film Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas, starring Jim Carrey, coming in at No. 9, and Illumination’s 2018 animated The Grinch, voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch, landing at No. 11. 

Vudu’s top 10 titles for the week ended Nov. 21, in terms of revenue, were:

  2. No Time to Die
  3. Yellowstone: Season 4
  4. F9: The Fast Saga
  5. Free Guy
  6. Jungle Cruise
  7. Candyman (2021)
  8. The Many Saints of Newark

  10. The Suicide Squad
