‘Lego Movie 2’ Debuts Atop Disc Sales Charts

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part debuted at No. 1 on both the NPD VideoScan First Alert chart, which tracks combined DVD and Blu-ray Disc unit sales, and the dedicated Blu-ray Disc sales chart the week ended May 11.

The sequel to the 2014 animated The Lego Movie, in which the famous building block Lego toys come to life, earned $105.8 million at the domestic box office, less than half of what its predecessor made and also about $70 million less than 2017’s The Lego Batman Movie.

Another newcomer, the Paramount comedy What Men Want, debuted at No. 2 on the overall sales chart and No. 3 on the Blu-ray chart.

The loose remake of the 2000 film What Women Want earned $54.6 million in U.S. theaters.
